Get vaccinated!

Remember life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a beautiful well-preserved body but rather an adventure in which you
skid in broadside, totally exhausted, thoroughly used up, loudly proclaiming, "Wow! What a ride!"

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.

(I keep hoping someday I'm going to believe this!)

Don't hesitate to treat yourself because Cinderella is proof that one pair of shoes can change your life!

You only go around once in life but if you do it right, once is enough!

What is it about life these days? The people who aren't present always seem to be more important than the ones who are.

Christmas 2020
I'm back! I've resurrected my website which you'll see as you keep reading that I hadn't updated
in 4 years. The snow storm in January 2017 when we lived in Grants Pass convinced us we were not
meant to live in the Pacific Northwest
despite the incredible experience of living in the forest for 4 years among abundant wildlife that took our breath away. So in August
2017 we moved to Nipomo, California, a little town on the central coast just south of San Luis Obispo. We're right near the beach, our
average temps are 72/50, we have plenty of blue sky and sunshine, no bugs, no humidity, no wildfires or floods or mudslides, no traffic,
and we're surrounded by more friends than we ever imagined. It's turned out to be the most perfect place we could ever have landed.
There's no way I can fill in the last 4 years so I'm just going to pick up from here and move forward. Not that there's a lot to say
at the moment. We've had our heads down since January 2020 because of COVID, and even though we got vaccinated and so did every one of
our friends, we're still masking up and keeping our distance from people we don't know but enjoying every moment of every day.
I hope you all are too!

Two weeks ago I ordered tamales from a lady named Milca who makes and delivers them daily. They were absolutely
DEE-LICIOUS. As we were chatting, I found out that her website was out of date because her webmaster flaked out on her almost a year ago. I
looked at her website and thought I might be able to help her. In trying to do so, I resurrected my own website using GoDaddy as my web host.
(Thumbs up to GoDaddy, they're a breath of fresh air compared to my previous web host who flaked out on me too.) Unfortunately, it turned
out I couldn't help her with her website which is now in the process of being updated, but I can give her a shout out on
my website.
Milca makes 120 dozen tamales every day including pork, spicy pork, chicken, chile relleno, chile verde, jalapeño and cheese, vegetarian, sweet
corn, pineapple, strawberry,
and many others. They come
6 to a package and only cost $15.00 with free delivery. Her company is located in Santa Maria, California and she delivers from San Miguel
to Santa Barbara. She asks that you order one day in advance of delivery, and she accepts payment upon delivery with cash and major credit
cards and apps such as Venmo and Zelle.
When you order from Milca, not only will your tummy feel good but your heart
will feel good
about supporting her local family-owned business.

Do you ever feel like you just don't get it anymore? Like you are just totally out of touch? My dear dad, when he was
in his 70s, used to say, "I'm a dinosaur. I feel like I'm on another planet." He didn't get the music or the hair styles or the clothes or much of
anything young people did or said or looked like. With a shrug and a sigh, I used to say, "Oh, Dad..." Well, guess what. Almost 30 years
later, Bill and I have morphed into dinosaurs ourselves.
What's with sleeve tattoos and crayon box colored hair? My hair stylist when we
lived in Grants Pass explained that these people don't want to look beautiful, they want to look unique. Well, lemme tell ya, they've succeeded.
And is rap really music? Did you see CNN's "Welcome Back New York Concert"
a few days ago? Did you see the rap artists Spliff
Star, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, LL Cool J, French Montana, Remy Ma? (I copied these names off the internet because I'd never heard of these people.)
That's music? These are musicians? We couldn't hit the tv OFF button fast enough.
And what's with the tv commercials advertising products to deal with the most personal bodily functions and smells? Remember when we cringed when
they first advertised Viagra? Now CNN continually airs a product that drains the goop out of your nose (eeeuuuwww) and believe it or not, we just saw
a commercial 2 days ago for a cream to get rid of butt crack odor. Oh my god. Really?

Bill and I were laughing in the car tonite on our way out to dinner and we thought it'd be fun to write about this on my website. These are just a few
of the things that tickled our dino scales. We thought you'd laugh too.

Please keep our soldiers in your hearts

and stay healthy and safe and as always I hope you find
something here that makes you smile!

Bill
We celebrated our 34th anniversary last New Years Eve.

WOW!
And we made it thru COVID being together 24/7 for so long. But Bill taught me about golf and I taught him how
to cook and we realized that everything's better together.

Andi Pandi
She's my treasure, my little shadow, and still the center of my world. She owns my heart.

Murphy
My big black hunk of pure love. He's 14 now and has changed our lives in so many ways. He's proof positive that two dogs are better than one.

Boo Boo
I start every morning with Boo snuggling in my lap. You know how I like my morning coffee? With a little cream, a little sugar,
and a whole lotta kitty!
